No outdoor seating but they have great food!
Good ones.
Very good authentic mexican food. Best burritos around.
Too bad. This place used to be amazing. And cheap. Now it is just living on its reputation. Don't listen to the good reviews.Prices have gone up 50% in 2 years and is now a $14-15 lunch depending on tip. And the food has gotten significantly worse. I just got the pork in chipotle on taco bravos. It was so salty it was inedible. And I have a seriously salty palette. It was just plain gross. I also called them and they could not care less. Overpriced. Bad food. Bad customer service. Go elsewhere.
Pretty decent food. Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. Reasonably priced food as well!
Pineda Tacos is a classic taqueria. It's the perfect spot to enjoy tacos, burrito and tortas, along with a side of chips and house-made salsa. I got the large burrito which was packed to the brim with meats, rice, beans, salsa, and lettuce (you can also get cheese and sour cream). I grew up eating Mexican food constantly in California, and I am so happy to have found a place here in Minnesota that feels like home. If you want a classic taqueria experience, Pineda Tacos will hit the spot!
Very good all-around Mexican food. Staple of the area actually and usually always packed. They did a recent remodel and it turned out great, making your dine-in experience even more pleasurable. 1 chopped steak burrito w/everything please!
Fast service, reasonable prices, and so many options for meats and salsas!
This place was fantastic! Some of the best tacos I've ever had, especially the Chipotle Chicken. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean. Whatever you order comes with tortilla chips and access to the salsa bar, which includes 3 different kinds of salsa, jalapenos, cilantro, onions, and limes.Fast casual style; order your food, get your drink cup, seat yourself, and your order number is called out. My 3 taco combo was around $9, which is well worth the amount of food you get.
I LOVE this place. One of my favorites. The service is great. And they give you loads of food for what you pay. I always end up having leftovers :)
A hidden wonderland of tacos and burritos. Absolutely great food made with care and served hot and fresh. This isn't taco bell, it's so much better. The owners and staff are friendly and the prices aren't too bad for what you get in return. This is real food, fast.
If me and my boyfriend were craving for tacos, this would be our go to place. 😁 The inside feels relaxed, the food is amazing. Would recommend anyone to just come and try them out.
Good food, but the prices a bit higher than they should
After passing by this place for years I finally went in for some quick tacos before catching a movie. It was a total score. We can't stop eating their tacos! We've never tried anything else on the menu. The staff are kind, the prices are reasonable and the food is simple and honest. If you are the kind of person who needs fancy plates and interior decor, skip going here. Then again, if you're that kind of person you probably suck and couldn't appreciate good Mexican food if it bit you. The bottom line, this is the place for tacos.
The service is excellent! The staff are always super nice and friendly! Plus we've gotten a free bag of chips every now and then towards the end of the night from a really kind and sweet guy who works there!
Good quality food with a ton of tasty meat options. Counter order (fast food style), and kid friendly. Gets busy during business lunch hours.
A local favorite lunch spot. Quick, tasty tacos, burritos, quesadillas and more. The barbacoa is some of the best I've had anywhere. Lunch service is popular and quick with friendly staff and self-serve salsa and condiments.
Some of the food here is very flavorful, but let's not mistake flavor for salt. I kept coming back because it's the closest place to where I live that has menudo. But even at that, the menudo is nothing to write home about. The salsas are good, I can't deny that, but like everything else, the chips are pricey and if you want to buy a little tub of salsa it is overpriced.I bought 2 chimichangas and both I asked for carne asada, I ask you, since when does carne asada resemble ground beef!!! Both were overloaded with rice, I can honestly say about 85 percent rice, maybe 10 percent ground beef and 5 percent "other!!!!"I will not be coming back here, I have been very regular here, but no more!!! I have had enough of being ripped off here. I'll leave it for the gringos that do not know any better to praise this mish mash....they are after all the target client.
I ordered the large burrito, it would be a big lunch or dinner, it is very large. Fast and good. The horchata would be good, I'd go again.
Really good authentic food, very speedy service and an amazing salsa bar where you can choose your spicy level. Spacious seating and convenient, yet out of the way location. Excellent place for lunch or a quick place to grab lunch or a quick bite to eat. Good portion sizes and mysteriously good beans and rice sides!
Great place! The food was very fresh and had great flavor, will be back!
Hidden spot but worth the trip. The taco variety is fantastic and they are tasty. Didn’t try the burrito but that looked good too. I didn’t like how they combo mealed with Doritos...come on but overall a great little place.
Truly a gem. Great tacos.
Still not like back home, but they are the closest to So-Cal Mex I've had since i moved to the Twin Cities area. Over all, good food and horchata is passable. Pretty good salsa, Roja and Verde. If your go for lunch, expect a crowd.
Today I had 3 tacos. They were very tasty. I love their salsas. A different day I had the green burrito that was very good too! I wish they had tamales though but that is all I can fault them for. Thanks for a great visit.
The home made salsa and good food. Love it.
I was pleasantly surprised. Had the enchiladas and they were very good. I had a choice of red or hot green sause and three types of chicken (see picture). I did the verde sause and chicken... spicy but good! The Mexican rice was good. The refried beans were fine. They put freshly cut avocado on top which was nice. The place looks very small from outside but probably can seat 60 people. The have both booths and tables, and have two extra deep booths that could seat 8 people each. I'll be back.
DELICIOUS! Everything I have tried at Pineda has been excellent. However, I have become addicted to their roast pork...try it in any of their options. Also, the beans are just as addicting.
You really can't go wrong with the choices here, they are very delicious and you get your money worth!
Simple, tasty, no fancy names or decor. But reasonably priced with a great selection of sauces and choices of meats. Kind of a staple for our nerdy group.
BEST. MEXICAN FOOD. EVER. The green burrito will change your life, but literally everything there is good. The staff aren't just nice - they're kind and caring and remembered me the second time I came in. They also work their butts off to be sure that you don't have to stand around waiting. There was a line from the register to the entry and out of the front door today and I still was only waiting for about 5 minutes (not bad at all). And food came out even faster. I barely had time to grab napkins and salsa when they called my number. Atmosphere is also good - I come here a lot and it is always clean. Thank you, Pineda!! ❤ you guys are the BEST! ^_^
The menu is I would say simple for this kind of food you are getting. The lunch time rush from noon to one is madness and should be avoided. The food is massive and consistently mouth watering. The service is quick as well. They also have a sauce/topping bar where you pickup. Highly recommend trying a few things out. Tables were clean and I never said two words to my co workers while I ate because it was not worth wasting my time while there was still food to be eaten. I never take for home. Oh so good!
Gotta love the nachos. This time I tried the Mexican steak and it did not disappoint. Rich in texture and full of flavor, and just spicy enough to be well south of MN. I tried the Verde which seemed to have avacados in it; by itself, I was not impressed with the flavor or heat, but add that to the side of rice and it dressed up an otherwise drab dish.
Good value, decent portions, great tasting food. Nice variety of salsa to choose from. Nothing fancy just good eats and great employees!
Of course tried this new spot with my son and his girl friend and it was top notch! Will go again and tell my friends.
Excellent Mexican food and a very good selection at reasonable prices. Ambiance is not really interesting but still an excellent choice for lunch in an area with not very many places.
Clean. Looks like they recently remodeled the place. Great authentic food. Place is a little hidden, but in a neat little area across from a movie theater that comes out of nowhere.
Huge portions, reasonable prices, quick service.
Great Mexican food. Good spice, quick service. Love it for lunch!
Love the updates and the food is always authentic and tasty.
Loved this place. The food is really good, and for a good price. The service was amazing. Cashier was extremely helpful and friendly. I really appreciate the experience.
good grab-n-go
Very flavorful food done right. Hidden gem. I'll be back!
This is the best spot for authentic Mexican food. Friendly, helpful, and fast service from staff. Food is always fresh, flavorful, cooked well, and delicious. The decor and dine in area is clean, comfortable, and well decorated. This is one of my family's favorite places to eat. We have never been disappointed.
I was happy to find Pineda Tacos within walking distance of my hotel. Delicious chicken quesadilla, friendly fast service. I'll be back!
Good quality food with a ton of tasty meat options. Counter order (fast food style), and kid friendly. Gets busy during business lunch hours.
Best tacos in MN, at least in the western metro areas. The barbacoa has more flavor than you thought possible!
Great location, but they need to up their game. An investment in some new booths would make it a fun place to hang out - easier said than done in this terrible economy, I know.
Always great service, good food, and easy parking. Go to a movie (when they open up again) after your meal.
Clean, cute and friendly. Food was really good and at good price. Only a 4 Star because it’s a counter order. Looks like they do a lot of lunch business. A
Chimichanga was terrible, very oily fried in weird tasting oil and burrito was swimming in it. I also ordered tacos and the chicken tasted old With not taste.
Wonderful place. Burgers are wonderful, enchiladas are amazing, burritos are filled with deliciousness.
